September; Labor day, summer starts turning quietly into fall, football is on every TV in the house, the kids are back in school, the pressure of soaking up every last minute of summer is gone, and everything seems to slow down.
September is a great month, one of my favorites. If I could describe September with one word it would be – “ahhhhh”. Okay maybe that was not good enough…needs more than just the word. September just feels like a calm, comfortable, happy, satisfied, pleasant - sigh. Not the sigh after eating Thanksgiving dinner, and definitely not the sigh after a long day on the beach. Just a happy and content sigh.
What is there to do in Loudoun in September? There are so many options - but one of the most family friendly and enjoyable outings on my list is hitting up Crooked Run Orchard in Purciville. Not only do we get to go home with bags full of local, crisp, and juicy apples, but the experience is so fun and beautiful! Check out their website for more information. http://crookedrunorchard.com/.
September 30th mark your calendars for Loudoun Counties International Festival in Leesburg! The two day festival will include awesome food, local vendors, and cultural entertainment, including; a Japanese Komono Fashion Show and a German Alpine Horn Performance.
Another great September activity is Hosting an awesome Football party! But before you send out the facebook invites. Is your house ready for guests? Do you need more space?
